Director's Message
For Those Who Care Enough to Help
My
name is Tom McRee and I am the Executive Director with the
Fairfield/Suisun Community Action Council (The CAC). As you
browse through our website I need to let you know what we
do at the CAC. We provide Basic Needs and Safety Net Services
directly to the public, that is emergency-food, clothes, rental
assistance, employment services, life-skills classes, literacy
sessions and homeless prevention services all free of charge.
Our client base is the working poor, low-income, senior citizens,
disabled, and homeless population living in and around the
Fairfield/ Suisun area.
If
you have a caring heart and are concerned about the poor and
needy population please consider giving in one of the following
ways
. First and foremost we need companies, businesses
and even individuals to become a "Partner" with
the CAC and pledge a monthly donation. Second we need
"one time" cash donations to help us out of the
financial crunch we are currently experiencing. Third
an individual can designate a set amount from each paycheck
to The United Way Fund (or another similar fund) for the Fairfield/Suisun
CAC. Last we encourage you to donate goods and/or services
that we can either pass on to our clients, sell at an upcoming
rummage sale or use to raise funds in a raffle or similar
fund raising event.
The
CAC has been in Solano County serving the poor and needy population
since 1967 and is presently in need of your help. My hope
is that the community will rally behind us and help us continue
to provide these crucial services to those less fortunate.
Please contact me as soon as possible with your donation information
@ 707-427-1148 or mail your most generous gift to 714 Madison
Street, Fairfield, CA 94533 or click
here to make a donation right now. Also any information
on area foundations or grants that you or your company may
have or know of would be helpful.
Thank
You & God Bless,
Tom McRee
